GySgt Tom Thompson's wife Katy Thompson, age 77, Tom's wife of 50 or
so years, passed away last weekend.

Funeral services and burial is at the Lakeview Memorial Park, 2786 Algoma
Blvd, Oshkosh WI 54901 on Wed March 4, 2009

Katy was a nurse while we were in Nam in 66-67
and she used to take a bottle of Jim Beam to the hospital, make a cast for it,
and mail it to GySgt Thompson and Capt. Marshall Carter.

Marines weren't allowed hard liquor during the war.

Sometimes it was broken but the liquid hadn't
drained thru the cast so GySgt Thompson and Capt. Carter strained it

thru a dirty sock to get out the glass chips

and then drank the rest.......
